The academic writing half nothing else covers: manuscript, grant, peer review, reviewer response.

Swap in any of the other skills, or --all. A plugin marketplace path is also documented. Note that peer-review is skipped on install until its frontmatter YAML is fixed upstream.

Best for

Graduate students, postdocs and faculty who need the writing and submission stages supported, not just the reading stage.

Not ideal for

Reference-library management — that is what the Zotero skills are for. Single maintainer, last upstream commit June 2026, and one of the fifteen ships broken: peer-review’s frontmatter puts an unquoted colon inside its description, so the YAML fails to parse and installers skip that skill entirely.

About this skill

Use across the academic research lifecycle — 15 skills covering literature review, methodology advice, survey design, qualitative coding, replication design, manuscript drafting, citation formatting, grant writing, peer review, reviewer responses, and ethics committee submissions.
