# Top Communication & Docs Skills for Cursor

For writing and diagramming inside Cursor, the useful set is documentation and architecture-adr for the prose that lives next to code, mermaid-diagrams and system-architecture-diagrams for pictures generated from that prose, and humanizer to strip the AI cadence out of anything customer-facing. All are read-only: they change what gets written, not what gets shipped.

## Common question

**Should docs skills live in the repo or in my global Cursor config?**

Repo-local, if the conventions are repo-specific — an ADR template or docs structure belongs with the code it documents, so every contributor and every agent session inherits the same one. Keep only the generic writing skills (humanizer) global.
