# Best Skills for building a landing page

The best Skill for a landing page is frontend-design, and the reason is specific: it forces a committed visual direction before any code is written, which is what separates a page that looks designed from the generic AI aesthetic every other tool produces. web-artifacts-builder then builds the real thing as a self-contained HTML page, ux-copy writes the strings people actually read, and accessibility-review checks contrast, keyboard use, and touch targets before you publish.

All four are Anthropic-published and verified on Claude.ai, so you get a working page out of a browser conversation. What you do not get is a deployed site — see the limits below.

## The picks

### 1. frontend-design (Official)

Forces a committed visual direction — typography, colour, motion, composition — before any code is generated, which is precisely what separates a designed page from the generic AI aesthetic. Its own entry names greenfield landing pages and marketing sites as its best use.

- Reach for it when: A new page that has to look intentional rather than templated.
- You end up with: A committed design direction, then the page built to it.
- Entry: https://top-agent-skills.com/skill/frontend-design (https://top-agent-skills.com/skill/frontend-design.md)

### 2. web-artifacts-builder (Official)

Produces the actual artifact: a self-contained HTML page built with React and shadcn/ui components. One file you can download and host anywhere, with no build step to understand.

- Reach for it when: You want a working page in your hands, not a description of one.
- You end up with: A self-contained HTML file you download from the conversation.
- Entry: https://top-agent-skills.com/skill/web-artifacts-builder (https://top-agent-skills.com/skill/web-artifacts-builder.md)

### 3. ux-copy (Official)

Writes and reviews the strings people actually read — headlines, CTAs, empty states, error messages, onboarding text. On a landing page these carry the conversion, and they are the part most generated pages leave as placeholder-grade filler.

- Reach for it when: The layout is settled and the words need to earn the click.
- You end up with: Reviewed interface copy, with the rewrite for each weak string.
- Entry: https://top-agent-skills.com/skill/ux-copy (https://top-agent-skills.com/skill/ux-copy.md)

### 4. accessibility-review (Official)

Audits the page against WCAG 2.1 AA — colour contrast, keyboard navigation, touch target size, screen-reader behaviour. Cheap to run before publishing, and the failures it catches are the ones that also lose you real customers on phones.

- Reach for it when: Before the page goes live, and after any redesign of it.
- You end up with: A WCAG 2.1 AA audit naming what fails and where.
- Entry: https://top-agent-skills.com/skill/accessibility-review (https://top-agent-skills.com/skill/accessibility-review.md)

## What these Skills will not do

- You get a page, not a live site. Claude.ai Skills run in a sandbox with no shell, so nothing here buys a domain or deploys. Download the file and host it — or use the deploy guides, which need a developer agent.
- frontend-design deliberately pushes a bold direction. If you already have a brand system, that is a mismatch — its own entry warns it may overwrite established tokens.
- brand-guidelines applies Anthropic’s brand, not yours. It is useful as a worked example of a coherent system; it is not a way to match your own.
- accessibility-review is an audit against WCAG 2.1 AA, not a substitute for testing with a real screen reader.
- No analytics, no forms backend, no email capture. A generated page is static; wiring a form to something requires a tool that holds credentials.

## Common questions

**What is the best AI to build a landing page?**

A pair: frontend-design decides the visual direction and web-artifacts-builder produces the page. frontend-design exists specifically to avoid the templated look — it commits to typography, colour, motion, and composition before generating anything — and its own catalog entry names greenfield landing pages and marketing sites as its best use.

**Will the page actually be online?**

No, not from Claude.ai. Skills there run in a server-side sandbox with no shell and no deploy access, so you receive an HTML file to download and host wherever you like. Deploying from an agent is possible, but it needs a developer tool — Claude Code with a Vercel, Netlify, Cloudflare, or Railway skill.

**Can it match my existing brand?**

Partly, and be careful here. frontend-design is built to impose a strong direction, and its entry warns it can overwrite established design tokens — good for a new page, wrong for extending an existing system. Feed it your colours and type as constraints, or use theme-factory to generate a coherent set from scratch, but do not expect a pixel match to an existing site.

**Who writes the copy?**

ux-copy handles the interface strings — headlines, CTAs, empty states, error messages, onboarding text — which is where most landing pages leak trust. For longer marketing prose, content-creation is the better fit; see the newsletter guide for how that one works.

**Do I need to know how to code to use these?**

No for the install, which is a zip upload in your account settings. Editing the result afterwards is where it helps: what you get back is an HTML file. You can ask for changes in conversation instead of editing it yourself, which is how most non-developers work with it.
